A Letter To All Seafarers From HKISSC

12th May 2025
Dear Colleagues,
2025 Day of the Seafarer Ship Visit Campaign
The 2025 Day of the Seafarer is approaching! In alignment with this year’s theme, #MyHarassment-Free Ship, the Hong Kong International Seafarer Services Centre (HKISSC) is committed to working alongside the industry to enhance the working environment for seafarers onboard.
HKISSC is a seafarer service platform established in 2019 by the Merchant Navy Officers’ Guild – Hong Kong and the Amalgamated Union of Seafarers, Hong Kong. With the support of shipping companies, HKISSC represents unions dedicated to seafarers’ welfare, conducting ship visits, providing free onshore transport, and offering onboard support to seafarers.
To celebrate the 2025 Day of the Seafarer and 7.11 Maritime Day of China, and to promote improved working conditions for seafarers at sea, HKISSC is launching the 2025 Day of the Seafarer Ship Visit Campaign from June 2 to July 11. During this period, we will visit ships arriving in Hong Kong, extend our safety blessings to seafarers, and distribute welfare packages from the union.
We would be truly grateful if you and your colleagues on board could support our Campaign and provide details of your merchant ships before arriving in Hong Kong during the campaign period, including:
• Ship Name
• Arrival Date
• Number of Crew Members
We look forward to your positive response. Please feel free to contact our staff for further details:
